About the Company

Wudhus Ltd owns and operates a national Residential Garage Door maintenance and installation business, and also a national TV Aerial & Satellite Dish installation business.

Our headquarters are at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, which includes our central stores and offices.

Our field technicians, who are all full time employees are located throughout mainland UK, their materials and equipment are supplied to them from our central stores, with the exception of items which are dispatched directly to them from third party suppliers.

Due to solid growth we have a vacancy for an additional full time Delivery Driver, in the interest of full disclosure it is important to note the position requires a mix of both long distance and relatively local delivery rounds, both long haul and local delivery days necessitate an early morning start.

Overtime is an essential requirement of the job as is the occasional overnight away from home.

There is an amount of lifting involved e.g. of spare parts, cartons new and old garage doors etc, and also assisting technicians in the installation of new doors.

For these reasons it is essential that the position requires the successful applicant to be physically fit, have a practical mindset, good attention to detail and be well organised.

Job Description

The role will require regular travel and time on-site with your colleagues and our customers. Reporting to our Operations Manager and you will be supporting our operations by delivering new garage doors and assisting with the installation. You will also be delivering parts etc. and from time to time be required to assist within our warehouse operation.

As such, you will need to be a physically fit, have good attention to detail, organisational skills and a practical mindset.

The role will also require early starts and occasional overtime, as well as overnight stays. Therefore, you’ll also be a flexible person, with a positive, “can-do” attitude and a proactive approach.

Teamwork skills will be essential, as you’ll need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues – from senior management to field technicians and office staff.

You will be required to balance the commercial requirements of the business alongside effective time management, whilst always maintaining health & safety as a priority.

Responsibilities

Driving:

• Collection and delivery of parts and goods, loading and unloading.
• Represent the company professionally by driving responsibly.
• Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of company vehicles.

Fitting:

• Physical work, including lifting – working safely at all times.
• Assist with fitting work, use of power tools.
• Present a professional appearance to our customers at all times.

Warehouse duties :

• stock management and ordering
• stock picking and loading
• warehouse housekeeping

From time to time, according to the demands of the business, you may be required to perform additional ad-hoc tasks outside of these listed responsibilities.

Essential Requirements

The following are essential requirements in any candidate:

• Previous experience in a hands-on role, including use of power tools.
• Flexible and prepared to work overtime, plus overnight stays, when required.
• Confident communicating professionally with suppliers, colleagues and customers.
• Reliability and time management skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Full Clean UK Driving Licence (no serious driving offences).
• Experience driving a long wheel base van (Sprinter or equivalent).
• Aged 25+ - due to company insurance policies.

Pay & Benefits

• 40 hours per week.
• £13.50 per hour, overtime at 1.3 x standard rate.
• 28 days holiday (including statutory), subject to accrual.
