Delivery Driver and Sales Team Member
BSW Timber – Corpach, Fort William, PH33 7AP
42.5hrs per week, Monday – Friday 8.30am - 5pm

Due to our continued and exciting growth, we are looking to recruit a Delivery Driver to join our wider retail team reporting to the Retail Manager at our BSW Timber site in Corpach, Fort William.

As a Delivery Driver and member of our Sales Team, you’ll enjoy a variety of duties ranging from:
- Preparation, planning and loading of orders for delivery.
- Delivering to customers as required.
- Daily vehicle and equipment maintenance checks ensuring any corrective action is reported and actioned.
- Compliance with operational procedures, including goods in and goods out, sales and order processing and stock control.
- Greeting and assisting customers on site with selection, purchase and loading of goods.
- Assisting with telephone enquiries and quotations.
- Building solid customer relationships through the provision of exceptional customer service, providing customer feedback to the retail manager in relation to service standards, product quality and pricing.
- Movement of Products on site, using a counterbalance forklift truck. (Counterbalance training can be provided).
- Constant monitoring of stock levels, ensuring maintenance of sufficient stock for sales and orders.
- Daily housekeeping tasks including restacking of products, shovelling and dusting as required.
- Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices across the site.
About you:
A category C1 Licence (7.5 Tonnes), CPC and Driver Digital Tachograph Card are essential for all candidates.
Ideally, we’re seeking a motivated individual who is Customer focused and understands the value of the goods and services being provided. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained, and sales targets are met. You will have a can-do attitude and be willing to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
- In addition, you will have:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience of electronic sales platforms and telephony systems would be advantageous.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
- Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, or similar production environment, would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
