Staffing Network Scotland Ltd is a leading recruitment agency specializing in providing staffing solutions to various industries across Scotland. We are currently seeking a dedicated Class 1 HGV Driver to join our client's team for General Haulage work using curtain-sided trailers.

Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to undertake General Haulage work using curtain-sided trailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across designated routes while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class 2 HGV vehicles equipped with curtain-sided trailers.
• Transport goods and materials to designated locations following specified routes and schedules.
• Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and regulations during loading, transport, and unloading processes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the mechanical soundness of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and clients to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and workspace.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 2 HGV license with CPC qualification.
• Proven experience operating curtain-sided trailers preferred.
• Solid understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
• Excellent driving record with no major violations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as needed.
