An international and reputable FMCG group is currently recruiting for an interim Demand Manager or Supply Planning Manager to join their team for 6-9 months, but very likely on a permanent basis after the contract comes to an end.
The role is based in Somerset but it can be done fully remote with no travel (full-time , 37.5h/week flexible hours)
The role has no direct reports but you will be leading on processes be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to optimise inventory and maximise service levels. This role requires an experienced professional with a track record of success in demand planning, supply chain planning or inventory management
Description
- Leading the demand planning and forecasting process
- Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns and subsequently implement solutions to improve the accuracy of demand forecasting.
- Working closely with sales and marketing teams to understand demand forecast drivers.
- Ensuring availability of stock to meet customer demand while minimising inventory costs.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements within the demand planning function.
- Providing accurate and timely feedback to stakeholders on forecast accuracy and inventory levels.
- Managing risks associated with inventory and demand forecasting.
- Engaging in cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment of forecasts with business goals.
