Demand & Warehouse Planner - GBP31k pa - Hybrid (3 days at home, 2 on site)
Seymour John is working with an award winning, market leader in manufacturing and supplying food solutions of both branded and private label household and professional catering products. An opportunity has arisen at their site in Telford for a Demand & Warehouse Planner to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Release orders for allocating to the warehouse for picking.
- Accurately allocate all picks to the warehouse by 4pm to the correct priority HHT
- Manage the Edit pick worksheet.
- Ensure customer deliveries are picked and despatched on time.
- Monitor Overdue and Backorders
- Liaise with colleagues in supply chain to ensure correct stock levels are maintained.
- Liaise with Transport admin to ensure deliveries are made in a timely fashion and via the correct transport means.
- Micro-manage the order book.
- Monitor and forecast warehouse pick hours.
- Monitor critical orders, and if required liaise with different departments to make sure the order is raised to the appropriate level of priority.
- Ensure sample orders are despatched in a timely manner and in full.
- Ensure Web & E-Shop orders are despatched in a timely manner and in full.
- Liaise with Stock control to arrange recycling stock to be added to ERP and orders are allocated for collection.
- Liaise with the retail advisor to control all stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and arrange transfer orders to third party and customer external warehouses.
- Book transport, and delivery/collection slots for external warehouses.
- Completing weekly stock reconciliations on external warehouses.
- Invoicing orders from customer third party warehouses.
- Identify improvement opportunities within the ERP and work with IT and third party support to implement and test these improvements.
- Look for continuous improvement activities for the warehouse and related areas.
- Create and monitor appropriate KPI's.
- To ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures including Hygiene, ISO 9001, BRC
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 - 5 years' experience in an FMCG production environment
- MRP experience
- Advanced PC skills especially in Excel
- Must be willing to adopt a flexible approach to working.
- Ability to communicate to all levels of personnel.
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail with a methodical and logical approach.
