Due to continued growth, Lab94 are now looking for another technician to join our team and service our growing client base.
We would love to hear from dental technicians from all walks of life, who are keen to gain hands-on experience in all areas of the manufacture of dental prostheses.
The right candidate will have a can-do attitude, great work ethic, an eye for detail, and be passionate about consistently delivering a high quality product and great customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties
- All aspects of the production of dental prostheses, including:
- Preparing plaster models
- Producing wax bite blocks, special trays and try-ins
- Boiling out, flasking and finishing dentures
- Producing gum shields, bite guards and splints
- Occasional administrative duties, including:
- Liaising with practices, dentists and suppliers
- Maintaining databases
- Helping to manage the flow of work in and out of the lab
- Helping with the ordering and monitoring of materials and supplies
- Helping maintain lab equipment and machinery
- Helping maintain a clean, safe workspace
Qualifications and Skills
You must be a qualified and GDC registered Dental Technician, or hold a Dental Technology qualification which is recognised by the GDC and which is confirmed as providing eligibility to obtain GDC registration. Strong interpersonal skills together with basic computer literacy are essential. Candidates will be asked to complete a short bench test to assess their existing capabilities.
Whilst this role is focused on the manufacture of dentures and other general prostheses, experience in other areas such as CAD/CAM, Crown and Bridge, orthodontic , or implant retained denture work, would be a bonus. See 'Other Information' below.

Other information
As part of our continued growth we are moving to new and larger premises in the next few months. Our new location will have better access to the A483, off street parking, will provide even better facilities for our staff, and allow us to expand our product offering and to serve an growing client base. As such, although we are advertising for one full time technician at present, our needs will be changing rapidly over the coming months and so we may have additional roles available.
