The postholder is responsible for operations within the Development and Alumni Engagement team. They are responsible for the smooth operation of human resources, office administration and planning activities for their team.

To excel in the role of Department Coordinator for the Development and Alumni Engagement team, we're seeking a candidate with a strong commitment to making a positive impact. As the key operational support to the Deputy Director of Development, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of departmental functions. Your responsibilities will encompass diverse areas, including providing operational support for human resources, office administration, and strategic planning.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, managing various aspects of personnel management such as recruitment activities, inductions, and probation processes. Your role will extend to coordinating annual planning cycles, overseeing departmental returns, and managing office expenditure and budgets effectively. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in supporting team meetings, committees, and working groups, taking on responsibilities as the secretary when required.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will champion the values of the Development and Alumni Engagement Team: Making a difference, Collaboration, Being solution-focused, and Having a passion for learning. Your ability to provide support, direction, and coordination for various administrative activities across the department will be vital in upholding these values.
