A true global business and a major player within the UK Civil Engineering & Infrastructure construction and maintenance sectors supporting high value flagship contracts.

Our client has an extensive portfolio of capability and experience delivering all highways civil engineering requirements. Their diverse range of services include public realm improvements, junction improvements, car parks including park and ride facilities, footways, cycleways and other infrastructure for non-motorised users, carriageway construction and surfacing, drainage improvements, signalisation, road lining & carriageway studs and more.

This site stores and distributes high quality emulsion and bitumen products for use in the civil construction sector, predominantly for highways project.

The Role:

Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, the Depot Manager will be responsible for:

• accurate and effective reporting of expenditure/general performance against budget
• managing all aspects of site property/ assets and stock
• supervising and ensuring effective training for staff
• ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Exeter Depot for all stakeholders, customers and other visitors
• building and maintaining good customer relations
• promoting the client’s extensive product range and promote telesales to manage specific high maintenance customer/market sectors
• managing all aspects regarding environmental and quality audits to BSI standards
• completing administrative work from order and invoice processing to customer deliver paperwork.

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Have at least 12-18 months experience working in a similar management, supervisory or team leader role (any sector/industry)
• Have the ability to statistically record activity and stock control reports using internal IT systems as well as MS Suite
• Be able to work without supervision.
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills
