Form of workDriver Hire are working with our client in the Faversham area to recruit for a permanent position as a Depot Supervisor. Our client are a supplier and distributor of crop protection products to the farming community in the South East.
Salary: Dependent on experience
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 0600 start, average 10 hour shift during peak season

The position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and independent worker to thrive in a varied environment that can be very fast paced during peak seasons, working to next business day delivery schedules. You will enjoy a combination of being on your feet and getting involved in physical work loading and palletising goods along with office-based and managerial tasks.
You will be part of a small team where your duties and workload will vary from day to day, working closely with drivers within the business to support them with loading/unloading vehicles, route planning and sometimes taking on driving for the day.
Responsibilities of being Depot Supervisor:
- Assist with planning drivers’ delivery routes
- Prepare customer order collections and load vehicles with counterbalance forklift
- Communicate with drivers and head office throughout the day
- Assist with large customer meetings in quieter periods
- Health and Safety and Compliance tasks
- Security/key holder
Requirements to be Depot Supervisor:
- Forklift experience
- Cat B licence, Cat C1 desirable but not essential
- Able to complete manual handling tasks, moving goods 20-25kg
- Organised and methodical approach to work
- Supervisory experience preferred
