To lead, manage, evaluate and develop a responsive, safe, effective and patient-centred clinical pharmacy service in accordance with objectives agreed with the Chief Pharmacist. As the LYPFT Medicines Safety Officer (MSO) you will respond to Medicines Safety alerts, incidents and risks, supporting staff to prevent and resolve issues, share learning and good practice and promote a strong culture of safety to protect patients from medicines-related harm. Support the Chief Pharmacist in the delivery of the Trusts Medicines Optimisation priorities and provision of pharmacy services. To line manage the senior lead pharmacists and deputise for the Chief Pharmacist. As a member of the Senior Pharmacy Team help develop a strategic vision and delivery plan for the Pharmacy Department and take a lead role in supporting the team to implement this. Act as a role model in clinical pharmacy practice and provide specialist clinical services to designated areas of the Trust. Participate in weekend and on-call pharmacy service provision.
