Job description
The Deputy Childcare Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Team Leader in the day to day organisation and running of our After School Club, including curriculum planning/ monitoring delivery of all sessions. He/she is responsible in assisting the Team Leader in managing the team of staff and volunteers to ensure safe delivery of the service in accordance with the Trust’s agreed policies and safeguarding procedures. As Deputy Team Leader he/she reports to the Team Leader. .

Paid experience in a Supervisory/Deputy/Leadership role in an Early Years/SAC/Youth setting over the last 5 years.Excellent working knowledge of SAC/Childcare Minimum Standards and statutory guidance and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning and play opportunities.Minimum Level 5 in Playwork or Level 5 Leadership and Management of Children Care, Learning and Development-Or nearing completionOther qualifications that are acceptable are: Level 5 or above in Teaching, Social work or Youth WorkGSCE or equivalent in English and Maths to Grade C or above First Aid Training including Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Training including Designated OfficerExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate well with a range of stakeholders. , Experience of running or developing a Breakfast Clubs.Experience in running or developing Summer schemes.Experience in using Seesaw and Social MediaExperience of working in a Social Economy or in the Voluntary and Community sector.
