Job description

About us

Tandridge is a largely rural area at the eastern end of Surrey with extensive areas of high-quality landscape and superlative heritage assets.  Its location next to London and Gatwick Airport creates strong housing pressures on the district’s beautiful settlement areas and natural environments.   The Council is delivering on a continuous improvement plan for the Planning Service and is looking to the Development Management team to play a key role in delivering the high quality placemaking, green growth and enhanced natural environments which form part of the vision for the District. 

The Role

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in helping shape and deliver a top performing Development Management Team for the District.  It will require creativity, energy and an ability to think innovatively to tackle the unique planning challenges we face.   The role will require management and strong technical skills, as well as an ability to drive a wide range of improvements in the case officer, enforcement, tree and technical teams.
