Job Title: Deputy Directorof Estates and Facilities Operations
Location: Peterborough, PE3
Pay Rate: £43.50 to £50.00 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Length of the contract: 3 months initially with the potential to extend.
Gi Group Recruitment are now seeking to appoint a Deputy Directorof Estates and Facilities Operations to our Public Sector client based in Peterborough. The Deputy Directorof Estates and Facilities Operations will be responsible for supporting the Estates and Facilities team in the operational delivery to achieve maximum financial value.
Duties of the Deputy Directorof Estates and Facilities Operations
- Deputising for the Director of Estates and Facilities
- Managing the Estates and Facilities operations across Peterborough, Hinchingbrooke and Stamford.
- Managing the medical engineering service
- Managing the PFI contracts at Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke
- Support the Director in all aspects of Estates and Facilities in the delivery of highest quality management of the core team, enhancing visibility, formulating longer term strategies and new efficient ways of working that deliver high customer and staff satisfaction levels.
- The post holder will also provide professional leadership and advice on all aspects of the Estate and Facilities contract and commercial activities to other directorate staff and Senior Managers.
Experience Required
- Knowledge and understanding of NHS policy and strategic issues within the profession and across the NHS.
- Knowledge of NHS policy in relation to commercial ventures and engaging with the private sector.
- CCAB Qualification and current professional registration is desirable though not essential.
- Experience of leading complex projects.
- Extensive experience of directly leading substantial change.
- Proven track record of sound commercial and contract management including development of effective strategies within a large complex organisation.
- Experience in leading and managing teams.
- Evidence of leadership and delivery on large strategic developments.
- Demonstrate capabilities to manage own workload and make informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales.
- IT skills including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems and advanced understanding of Excel for analysis and planning.
