Overview of the Deputy General Manager (GM):
Reporting into the General Manager the Deputy GM will hold full accountability on a day-to-day basis for the venue's Operational Excellence; People Leadership, Commercialsand Health and Safety Compliance. The Deputy GM will also deputise for the General Manager in their absence, attending relevant events (internal or external), helping chair management meetings and attending Executive Team meetings in their absence.
The Deputy GM will also have 2 direct reports (Operations Support Manager & The Food and Beverage Manager). This position is a broad role and is split into 5 key areas: Management, People, Operational Excellence, Health & Safety & Commercials.
Duties:
To provide leadership to all team members and lead by an exceptional standard, exhibiting strong company values.
Provide a duty of care for all team members and apply corrective coaching where necessary.
To be fully conversant with and strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations, food safety regulations, Company Brand Standards and the Company People Guide.
Undertake Senior Manager on-duty responsibilities including "open and close shifts."
Contribute to the strategic decision making process for the venue; identify commercial opportunities and areas to strengthen cost control and maximise the venues profitability.
Ensure the consistency of the standards and cleanliness (including the presentation of all team members) are excellent at all times and in keeping with the company Brand Standards.
Ensure that all team members are thoroughly updated and informed about all company information.
Deliver against targets and objectives.
Continuously look for ways to improve the guest experience.
