A popular and highly rated indoor sports venue is seeking a Deputy General Manager to ensure the efficient day to day control of all activities of the venue. The Deputy General Manager will have proven commercial experience with a track record of high performance in a similar type of business. In addition, the Deputy General Manager will have great problem solving, communication, leadership, teamwork, customer service, relationship building, and operational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the efficient day to day control of all activities of the venue
- Recruit, develop and manage the F&B Manager, Ops Support Managers, Head of Reception and provide a duty of care of their department teams and performance
- Provide leadership to all team members and lead by example
- Be fully conversant with and ensure you and all team members adhere to all H&S regulations, food safety regulations, company rules
- Conduct bi-annual appraisals and hold monthly team meetings
- Contribute to the strategic decision-making process for the venue
- Manage and maintain the integrated payroll system
- Ensure all department rotas reflect operational requirements and optimum levels of guest service and engagement
- Ensure the standards and cleanliness (including the presentation of all team members) are excellent
- Ensure that all team members are thoroughly updated and informed about all company information
- Deliver targets and objectives set out by superiors
- Take responsibility for department P&L performance, revenue and cost lines
- Be fully competent at utilising all elements of the booking system
- Ensure costs are controlled across all operational departments including analysis to create greater efficiency
- Review labour and rota management, ensuring site is appropriately staffed and resourced
- Manage and adhere to the nominated supplier list
- Support capital expenditure projects and maintenance budget
- Deputise for the General Manager in their absence
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
- Proven commercial experience and a track record of high performance in a similar single or multi-site business

- Has a clear understanding and experience within the leisure or hospitality industry
- Able to drive operational excellence across multiple departments to a high standard

Salary: Circa £45,000
