Job Description:
An International School in Kuwait is looking for Deputy Heads of Primary and Secondary who will be responsible for liaising with teachers in the PRIMARY or SECONDARY Departments and curriculum development for the programs. Need to have the ability to teach Primary or Secondary grade levels. Develop lesson plans and themes in line with British curriculum objectives. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.
Meeting with teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problem. Must also establish clear objectives for all lessons, and projects and attend staff meetings.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Education for Primary or a Degree in a Secondary teaching subject from a recognized University in the UK, IR, US, CA, AU, NZ (due to visa restrictions)
- Master Degree in Educational Leadership or similar
• TEACHING LICENSE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA (due to Visa restrictions)
• Must have excellent English communications skills
• Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in Primary or Secondary grade levels
· Minimum 2 years experience as Deputy Head of PRIMARY or SECONDARY Departments
• Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment
CONTRACT DETAILS:
Start Date: August 2024
Location: Kuwait
Monthly Salary Range: Competitive TAX FREE Monthly salary up to KID 1300 ($4225 USD) depending on qualifications and experience
Housing: Furnished 1 - 2 bedroom flat depending on family size. Utilities paid for by the school
Health Insurance Coverage: Medical insurance provided for employee only
Annual Air Tickets: Annual return air tickets provided
Leave: In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per country Labour law. Minimum 30 work days per year
Dependent School Fees: 50% Discount for 2 dependents attending same school as employee
Visa and Medical Check Fees: Residence Visa Fees will be paid for employees only. Employee is responsible for fees for dependents
End of Service Benefit: Gratuity of 21 days of basic salary for each year worked as per Qatar Labor law.
Paperwork Requirements: Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements
