Deputy Head Of Procurement - Clinical/Private Health

Cedar are working exclusively with a Public/Private Sector health client who are looking to appoint a Deputy Head of Procurement within Clinical services. This is a key role to manage contracts and commercial relationships with prestigious private hospitals in Harley Street and surrounding areas.

The post holder will be part of the commercial leadership team, working closely with the Head of Commercial services and be the technical lead for specific clinical procurement tenders, contracts and procurement projects. The post holder will develop and deliver a work plan of projects, savings pipeline and contract management initiatives, both within the organisation and in conjunction with the private hospitals.

This role will involve managing and maintaining strategic and operational relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Other key duties will include the management of strategic suppliers to maximise operational performance, whilst minimising risk and reducing costs.

Key deliverables within this role will include leading on commercial planning and delivery, identification and delivery of cash releasing and non-cash releasing efficiencies, to support the organisations wider Quality Cost Improvement Programme savings agenda.

Key areas -

• Experience of working on Public Sector procurement projects in accordance with PCR 2015
• Previous clinical and clinical supplies experience - medical consumables and medical/surgical spend
• NHS/Private Healthcare clinical stakeholder management
• Supplier management and contract negotiation within the Public Sector
• Must be enthusiastic and commercially driven
• Effective stakeholder management
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• MCIPS Qualified - desirable
