Location of Role:The Hurst School
The Hurst School is a semi-rural school between Basingstoke and Newbury. It has over 1000 students aged 11- 16. The school gained an OFSTED rating of “Good” in March 2019. We are looking to consolidate the work already done and also strive to improve our school in every way to gain better outcomes for our students.
The Senior Leadership Team is currently comprised of the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and 4 Assistant Headteachers. The Deputy Headteacher is encouraged and expected to be fully involved in both strategic planning and the day-to-day running of the school. We are however, looking for an outstanding, experienced leader who will oversee the strategic leadership of the Quality of Education. This role is pivotal to improving the outcomes for our students and will create a framework for raising standards through Teaching and Learning
