• This role offers an opportunity for the successful Deputy Manager to make a difference to the lives of young people in the area.
• This position will give you the opportunity to gain further qualifications through funding with fantastic progression opportunities being upskilled. Recently a Team Leader has progressed all the way to becoming a registered manager through the charities supportive culture and funding provided to achieve their level 5 qualification.
• The Deputy Manager will assist the Registered Manager with the running of a children's care home in order to ensure a safe and welcoming service for all users.

Key responsibilities:

• Directly managing two team leaders and a team of 30 support workers.
• Ensuring support delivered enhances independence of service users while still sheltering them from harm.
• Establish and maintain the trust and confidence of service users and families.
• Work on shift with people we support in line with Support and Risk Management plans and any protocols in place as well as in line with company policies and procedures.
• Providing training opportunities to members of the team.
• Following OFSTED/CQC practices in regards to safeguarding.
• Creating and maintaining support plans for service users.
• Being proactive in order to stay up to date with requirements.
