Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Registered Manager, overseeing the care staff, leading meetings, managing rotas, creating personalized care plans for residents, and ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory requirements.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification (NVQ level 3 or above)
- At least 3 years of experience in residential care, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain empathy and provide a person-centered approach
- Commitment to promoting the dignity and well-being of our residents
- Ability to lead and supervise a team, resolving issues effectively
- Good knowledge and practical experience of using computer systems, including Microsoft Office
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure and satisfactory references required
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the service
- Supervise care staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Lead meetings with care staff, residents, and external agencies
- Create personalized care plans for residents in consultation with multidisciplinary teams
- Manage medication administration and records
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including parents, carers, and external agencies
