A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Deputy or Assistant Manager to join a local organisation to support Children and Young People with a variety of support needs.

You will be second in command and in charge of a 5 bedded home in the managers absence. This service houses 5 Young People who are mixed gender and are need of a strong leader to support them with the journey to adulthood.

The home has recently been refurbished and is ready for you to start your journey.

You will be responsible for supporting the manager with the safe running of the service and the Young People who are housed there. Ensuring you lead by example with high standard of quality and safeguarding. You will be a resilient individual who will offer support for the manager to enable them to perform above and beyond the organisational policies and procedures and adhering to the national minimum standards of operation and legislative frameworks.

You will have a sound understanding of Ofsted regulation, have a proven background of shift leading, management support, working in a Children and Young persons home and demonstrating best practice by example to the support team. You will be able to demonstrate your proven track record of working with Children and Young people and working with Emotional Behavioural Disorders, delivering results and getting the best from your team which in turn will give the Young People in your care the support, guidance and know how to become the best versions of themselves.

You will have a minimum NVQ level 3-4 in Children and Young People or equivalent
