Gap Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Deputy Children's Home Manager to join our client's team in Ipswich, Suffolk. The home is a 4-bed facility catering to children aged 9-17 with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Our client is a growing organization, currently developing their third home and planning to open a fourth home in 2024.

Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager in the delivery of all care services and strategic planning for home developments.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, ensuring positive outcomes for children and maintaining a culture of safeguarding.
- Assist in ensuring the home is compliant with Children's Homes Regulations, including quality standards, to maintain Ofsted compliance.
- Play a key role in recruitment, retention planning, and quality improvement for the staff team.
- Provide leadership and coaching in childcare practices, mentoring and supporting the team of Senior Residential Support Workers and Residential Support Workers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children (required)
- Hold or be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
- Good working knowledge of legislation governing children's homes
- Experience in assisting with Ofsted compliance
- Ability to work as part of an On-call System
- Excellent People Management skills, fostering positive working relationships
- Capable of managing information, evaluating, monitoring, and reporting
- Self-motivated and organized
- Driving Licence (required)
