Deputy Manager (Children's Home)
Location: Stanford-le-Hope, Essex
Salary: £35,100 - £37,080 + Excellent Benefits
Full-Time, Monday - Friday (40 hours)
The Client:
Our client is a reputable residential children's home, providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for children to grow.
The Role:
As a Deputy Manager, you will promote learning, foster independence, and ensure health and welfare of young people.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a secure and supportive environment.
* Manage challenging behaviour with empathy and in accordance with policies.
* Develop strong relationships with team members, parents, and professionals.
* Engage young individuals in enriching activities and experiences.
* Implement and update care plans and risk assessments.
* Undertake daily parental responsibilities and support personal development.
Requirements:
* Previously worked as a Deputy Manager or in a similar role.
* At least 1 year of experience working in a residential children home.
* Prior experience as a residential support worker or within the care field.
* NVQ Level 3 in residential childcare or equivalent.
* Understanding of relevant legislation & regulations and OHCH policies & procedures.
* Valid UK driving licence.
* Right to work in the UK.
