Job Description:
As the Deputy Manager of this Venue, you will be a key player in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the establishment. Collaborating closely with the restaurant manager, you'll contribute to maintaining high standards of service, fostering a positive work environment, and optimizing overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of restaurant staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work culture, motivating team members to deliver exceptional service.
- Customer Satisfaction:
- Ensure a superior level of customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Lead by example in providing outstanding hospitality.
- Operational Excellence:
- Support the restaurant manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Implement and enforce operational policies to enhance efficiency.
- Financial Management:
- Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue.
- Handle cash management, financial reporting, and point-of-sale transactions.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee inventory levels, including ordering and stock control.
- Minimize waste and ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Training and Development:
- Support ongoing training initiatives for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of training programs and materials.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure adherence to quality standards in food and beverage service.
- Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and overall restaurant presentation.
- Problem Resolution:
- Address operational challenges promptly and collaboratively with the management team.
- Contribute ideas and solutions to improve overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or deputy management role within the restaurant industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house procedures.
- Familiarity with financial management, including cash handling and budgeting.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
