We have an understanding that nurturing, with empathy and respecting children’s wishes is fundamental in helping to understand behaviours and building a positive relationship with the young people. The care team will have the skills to support children/young people with their individual needs and help identify and reduce any triggers associated with their behaviours to help build resilience and help empower young people.
Job Description: As the Deputy Manager of our Residential Children Care Home, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the overall management and administration of the Care Home.
- Supervising and supporting staff in providing high-quality care to children.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborating with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations in the absence of the Manager.
- Participating in staff training and development activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a managerial role within a residential care setting.
- A relevant qualification in social work, childcare, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in residential childcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
