Deputy Manager - Residential Children Care Home

We specialise in supporting young people with emotional behaviour difficulties and associated challenging behaviours within the age ranges of 5-18 years old. Irrespective of what the needs may be or historical issues with previous placements. We at Lotus House will support these young people through our extensive experience and expertise to gain a sense of identity, develop resilience, feel safe to process past traumas and flourish. We have an understanding that nurturing, with empathy and respecting children’s wishes is fundamental in helping to understand behaviours and building a positive relationship with the young people. The care team will have the skills to support children/young people with their individual needs and help identify and reduce any triggers associated with their behaviours to help build resilience and help empower young people.

Job Description: As the Deputy Manager of our Residential Children Care Home, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the overall management and administration of the Care Home.
• Supervising and supporting staff in providing high-quality care to children.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborating with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures.
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations in the absence of the Manager.
• Participating in staff training and development activities.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a managerial role within a residential care setting.
• A relevant qualification in social work, childcare, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in residential childcare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
