Amber Mace are recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deputy Nurse Manager to join a dedicated team in Launceston.

As Deputy Nurse Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining Quality of Care: Work on the floor alongside the nursing team to ensure the quality of care is consistently maintained, adhering to the highest standards and best practices.
• Staff Management: Conduct regular one-on-one sessions with staff members to provide support, guidance, and ensure their professional development.
• Care Plan Updates: Oversee and update care plans in accordance with the individual needs of patients, ensuring that care is person-centered and meets regulatory requirements.
• Medication Oversight: Take responsibility for medication management, ensuring adherence to protocols and conducting regular checks to verify the competencies of nursing staff.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid NMC Pin: A current and valid NMC Pin is essential.
• Hands-on Approach: Willingness to work on the floor alongside the nursing team to actively contribute to the delivery of quality patient care.
• Management Skills: Proven ability to manage and lead a team, conducting effective one-on-one sessions, and fostering a positive working environment.
• Care Planning: Experience in updating and maintaining care plans to ensure individualised patient care.
• Medication Management: Knowledge and experience in medication management, with the ability to check and ensure the competences of nursing staff.
