Position: Deputy Manager (Office based)
Hours: 40h per week
Shifts: 7am - 4pm (Opening), 9.30am - 6.30pm (Closing)
Location: FInchley, N3
Salary: up to £38,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our client's team, a privately owned and family run day nursery located in a quiet residential street in Finchley Central, London. This 56-place nursery offers a supportive and rewarding work environment and provides excellent progression opportunities. As a valued member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery, supervising staff across all classrooms and the kitchen, and assisting in daily activities.

Duties:

• Support the Nursery Manager in supervising daily nursery operations.
• Aid in implementing high-quality care and educational programs aligned with EYFS guidelines.
• Mentor and guide staff members as necessary, ensuring their professional growth.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and managing staff performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Contribute to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or above.
• Experience as a third in charge or deputy in a nursery setting.
• Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and inspire teams.
