We have an exciting opportunity for a experienced person to join our busy payroll team as a Deputy Payroll Manager. You will be a member of the payroll team, responsible for supporting the Payroll Manager in the effective, timely and accurate administration of payroll processes
You will act as a technical expert, providing support to the Payroll Manager, deputising where required, and playing a crucial part in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining a high standard of service to staff.
You will oversee the work of other payroll colleagues with emphasis on compliance, ensuring that deadlines are met and policy and procedures are adhered to. This role will also be integral in seeking opportunities to continuously improve the service, creating a shared team ethos around customer service which strives to create a right first-time approach and experience to employees and managers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountability:
- Running end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring strict deadlines are met, in accordance with best practice, legislation and operating procedures
- To support the efficient and effective delivery of the payroll service, creating a centre of excellence:
- Technical & system knowledge to support the maintenance of the payroll data integrity to ensure correct payments and deductions of employees’ pay.
