Deputy Retail Store Manager

Since its opening in 2009, Yorkshire Wildlife Park has evolved to become the UK’s number 1 on-foot safari. We feature walkthrough exhibits that take the guest directly into the world of the animals. A dynamic centre for conservation and welfare, the park currently has around 475 animals across more than 60 different species. Unique, innovative and undergoing a period of continued growth and development, Yorkshire Wildlife Park attracts over 750,000 visitors per annum.

Our retail team at Yorkshire Wildlife Park offer a unique retail experience for our guests. The Yorkshire Wildlife Park and The Yorkshire Hive Stores offer a large range of products, from inspirational gifts to themed souvenirs, with a selection of products to suit all ages.

We’re currently looking for an experienced and energetic Deputy Retail Store Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced retail team at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the daily operational running of the Retail Store in line with the standards and expectations set by the Retail Store Manager. Support the Retail Store Manager with the continuous development of the Retail Store to deliver the company KPI’s. Manage and motivate the team to consistently deliver exceptional customer service standards.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support the Retail Store Manager with product control; ensuring that stock levels throughout the store and storeroom are well maintained.
• Deputise overseeing all operational aspects of the Retail Stores, ensuring all expectations and standards set by the Retail Store Manager are being achieved.
• Deliver exemplary customer service to all guests, ensuring that guest’s expectations are exceeded wherever possible.
