The Governors of Pershore High School wish to appoint a strong and confident Deputy SENCo who can provide outstanding support to students within our Inclusion Department. We are looking for someone who can lead, develop and support effective practice for students with particular learning needs and support them so they can make excellent progress. The successful candidate will form part of the inclusion team which includes a Mainstream Autism Base.
We currently have 1148 students on roll in Years 7-13 of which 188 are on the SEND Register, 32 of whom have EHCPs. This includes 14 students who are part of our Mainstream Autism Base (MAB). In addition, 16% of students are in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant. Our highly successful school is steadily growing, and student numbers are set to rise further in the next few years. Pershore High School is a great place to work, our students are friendly and behave well; visitors frequently comment on the calm and purposeful atmosphere that pervades our school. We are about to begin a £22 million rebuild and expansion project which will significantly enhance our school.
