MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Managing Stock
Maintaining a full understanding of and implementing Company objectives
Ensuring stockrooms are well organised and the standards are adhered to and maintained
Ensuring all deliveries are processed and productivity targets are adhered to consistently, or exceeded by the stockroom team
Ensuring appropriate controls are in place to manage stock levels
Liaise and communicate with the Stockroom Manager daily to ensure understanding of any issues that affect the stockroom and shop floor
Supporting the Stockroom Manager with movement of stock within the store (and/or warehouse and off-site locations if appropriate)
Raising awareness of and controlling stock loss within their area
Responsible as a keyholder. To open the store to receive and accept deliveries and on occasion, close the store
Support team with store inventory counts
Team Management
Effectively communicating and ensuring all associates working in the stock room adhere to all Company policies and procedures
Assist Stockroom Manager with the recruitment, training, and development of employees
Setting staff targets, motivating them, and reviewing their progress
Support Stockroom Manager with scheduling staff
Driving productivity within the stockroom
Demonstrating and maintaining Loss Control awareness whilst coaching others
Planning and Organisation
To liaise and communicate with the store management team daily to ensure they, and you, have a current understanding of issues effecting stockroom and shop floor
To support the Stockroom Manager to manage key events within the stockroom operations
Utilise store resources from all areas by communicating with all managers
Have contingencies in place for unexpected sizes of delivery
Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to and maintained at all times
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

Proven stockroom experience in a supervisory or management position
Ability to lead and coach a team
Organisation and strategic planning skills
Time management
Knowledge of retail KPIs
Excellent attention to detail
A passion for retail
Ability to perform basic maths and general retail operational processes
Understanding of Microsoft Excel
Understanding of POS register systems
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible work schedule including weekends, holidays and late hours/overnight shifts on occasion
