Our client is seeking a Deputy to the Quality Managerto join the dynamic team in Horsham.

Deputy to the Quality Manager
Slinfold, Horsham, West Sussex

• Circa £30,000 per annum + Bonus + Benefits
• Full time, permanent position
• Monday – Friday 39.5 hours per week
• 8:30 am – 5:15 pm Monday – Thursday and
• 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Fridays

This company is a leading distributor of electrical connector products, offering a wide range of interconnection solutions from many of the industry’s leading connector manufacturers. They pride themselves on their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

They are looking to recruit a motivated individual to assist in supporting the Quality Manager with regard to all aspects of the management of quality control and assurance requirements of FC Lane Electronics and Weald Electronics.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Planning, scheduling, and executing internal audits of the Company Quality Management System (QMS)
• Maintaining equipment calibration system, including arranging external calibrations and monitoring results
• Managing approved supplier lists and generating monthly supplier performance reports
• Conducting supplier audits and inspections of stock items
• Assisting with goods inspections and documenting work instructions
• Investigating and reporting on customer returns, including 8D reporting
• Assisting with quality system audits and health & safety requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:

• A level or equivalent education
• Strong knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and EN9120:2018, with ISO9001:2015 auditor qualification
• Experience in the use and calibration of dimensional inspection equipment, gained from an electro-mechanical / electrical component manufacturing background
• Analytical approach to problem-solving and 8D investigations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft
• Ability to prioritise workload with attention to detail
