We are looking to appoint a Deputy Unit Manager to join our team here at Florence Shipley Community Care Centre for 2 years fixed term.
The successful applicant will work alongside Deputy, senior and care staff and provide leadership and mentoring support to them. To manage or support front line service delivery or specialist projects.
To assist in the management of the establishment and the maintenance of good professional standards and care practices. To be one of a team of senior staff providing supervisory and management cover in the absence of the Unit Manager.
Supervise, organise, advise and motivate a team, specifically undertaking: management of performance, discipline and grievance, training and development support, absence management.
To cover in emergency shift duties in the absence of the senior care worker.
Full training will be provided appropriate to the level of the post. QCF Level 3 Health and Social Care desirable or a willingness to undertake the training.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.
Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
