Design and Development Engineer – Continuous Improvement
Bristol-based (Hybrid working in place)
£28,000 – £35,000 plus bonus and benefits
A Design and Development Engineer is required by a global Manufacturing client of ours who is going through a period of rapid growth currently and is at the forefront of their industry.
The successful candidate will have an analytical approach to solving Engineering problems as well as being comfortable in both Design and product testing scenarios. They will work in the Continuous Improvement Projects Team, under the direction of the Senior Engineer and ultimately be responsible for developing and delivering reliability or performance upgrades to systems.
This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £28,000 - £35,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonus and benefits.
Overview of the Design and Development Engineer role:
- Type testing and compliance testing of designs, including the design of the experiment
- Perform engineering calculations
- To participate in HAZOP, DFMEA studies, and risk analysis techniques according to best practice ensuring that resulting actions are included in a verification test plan, factory acceptance test, or final test, and commissioning document
- A good Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics engineering degree (or other relevant engineering qualification with 2 years of industry experience)
- Up to 2 years of industry experience post-graduation.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
