Design And Technology Teacher

Or are you soon to become an ECT (with a Design and Technology specialism) who is looking to gain more hands on experience in a variety of secondary schools before gaining gaining a permanent role?

Academics are currently looking for enthusiastic Design and Technology Teachers for flexible supply opportunities within their partnership secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

We are welcoming applications from Design and Technology Teachers with specialisms in, Food and Nutrition, Textiles, Resistant Materials, or Product Design.

Whether it is a long term contract or more flexible day-to-day cover; we focus the job search around you and look to provide you with the type of work you are looking for. Our supply opportunities are great as they allow our teachers to be flexible with the days that they wish to work. These roles can be ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as they could potentially lead to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.

Design Technology Teachers who apply for this role must:

• Hold the relevant Design and/or Technology qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
• Be able to deliver exciting and engaging Design Technology lessons using your own creativity and initiative.
• Be a confident motivator in the classroom, and can build excellent rapport with students and staff.
• Have excellent practical knowledge of the national curriculum and to have a proven track record of working with students in KS3/KS4.
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
