A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work in the Design and Technology department at Hagley Catholic High School. We are seeking a talented and committed DT Technician to work under the guidance of the DT Lead. You will be able to work in an encouraging and supportive manner with students and be responsible for ordering, maintaining, and preparing tools and equipment across a range of DT specialisms. You will ensure that all relevant Health and safety regulations are adhered to.
This is a fabulous opportunity to take on a key support role, in a very good school.In addition, some of the key responsibilities will include:
• To support staff and students in preparing and demonstrating practical activities
• Setting up, testing, and demonstrating equipment as required
• To prepare materials for Teachers
• To maintain a safe working environment
• To pro-actively contribute to the development of the facilities and operation of the DT Department
• To follow all health and safety guidelines
• To become a member of the school’s First Aid Team
• To be a Fire Marshall supporting the school in the event of a Fire AlarmThe successful candidate will be passionate about DT and student development. Training in areas may be given to the right applicant. Applicants will have a positive mindset outlook and revel in bringing out the very best in students while contributing to the overall ethos of the MAC.
