On offer is the chance to manage your own projects, delivering the full design process, from creating detailed designs and drawings, to prototyping and building, to liaising with clients and suppliers to offer a brilliant service.
Although the heart of the company remains a family-run environment, this is a growing company, who are expanding their business into multiple different sectors. Now part of a wider group, the company cover a range of specialist industries, predominantly within sheet-metal and other manufacturing sectors. Due to their expansion and continued growth, they are looking for another well-rounded Design Engineer to join the Design team.
You will be responsible for the Designs across all sectors of the group, meaning the work is very varied. The company use SolidWorks software for 3D models, and you will be managing your own projects from cradle to grave.
The ideal candidate will have experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software, and will preferably have a good knowledge with a variety of materials for Design and Manufacture, for example, sheet-metal, injection moulding, aluminium casting etc. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company, with a great culture for internal promotion, in an exciting role with a variety of products to design!
The Role

• 2D & 3D Designing on SolidWorks
• Managing your own design projects
• Liaising with the design team, customers and clients, contributing to assembly
• 35,000 - 45,000 + 33 Days Holiday + Bonus + Health Care Plan + Pension + Flexitime + Progression

The Person

• Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, CAD Designer
• Knowledge/Experience of a range of design and manufacturing techniques - Sheet-metal, injection moulding, aluminium casting.
• Able to manage projects, liaising confidently
• Able to utilize SolidWorks, Microsoft office
