Design Engineer - Piling

Piling Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to join our clients team. 

They have an opportunity for a experienced piling, foundations, or geotechnical engineer.  The company offers a variety of piling techniques, including basement construction, new build foundations, and other ground improvement/stabilisation disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality piling, foundations, and geotechnical/ground engineering design solutions.
• Challenge and review design elements to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
• Produce high-quality materials, identifying constraints and improvements.
• Regularly update planners and project teams.
• Work with estimating and pre-contract teams for timely design submissions.
• Prepare regular design performance reports.
• Participate in review and progress meetings.
• Ensure designs adhere to business objectives and legal requirements.
• Manage risks effectively and deliver agreed outputs.

Requirements

• Proven track record in the design of piles, foundations, and/or geotechnical/ground engineering contracts.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with multi-discipline geotechnical contract design and familiarity with technical specifications, codes, and standards.
• Experience in regular reporting procedures.
• Understanding of being a member of a design department in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in a client-focused environment.
• Ability to benchmark, understand best practices, and analyze contract information.
• Ability to manage client relations and promote alternative design solutions.
• Experience in networking or communicating with clients and their advisors.
