Join our client, a dynamic structural steel and architectural metalwork company dedicated to delivering high-quality projects through innovative fabrication technologies and experienced craftsmanship. From small to large-scale ventures, we excel in tackling unique architectural challenges, utilising comprehensive machinery and skilled technical teams to ensure top-tier results.

Due to a number of project wins, our client is now in search of a high calibre Design Manager with specific experience in Architectural Metalwork.

Responsibilities:

1. Efficient Client Interaction: Lead client interactions to ensure satisfaction for both clients and our client.

2. Requirement Alignment: Analyse project requirements and align them with detailing teams.

3. Team Management: Direct subcontract detailing & engineering teams to produce compliant drawings/calculations.

4. Communication Facilitation: Host and manage design discussions, calls, and meetings with clients, detailers, and engineers.

5. Documentation Management: Maintain and update client & internal design programs & registers.

6. Quality Assurance: Review Fabrication Pack to ensure incorporation of latest drawings and specifications.

7. Budget Monitoring: Monitor budget allowances throughout the design process and identify potential shortfalls.

8. Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers & Commercial Managers to align client requirements with internal budgets.

9. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Advanced Steel, Tekla.

10. Industry Leadership: Lead design in Balconies/Architectural metalwork Industries preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Estimating Support: Evaluate technical requirements for tender pricing and assist the estimating team with design queries.

• Product Development: Contribute to product development and improvement processes.

Requirements

• Technically Experienced: Possess strong technical knowledge metalwork experience, balconies, balustrade etc.
• Effective Communication: Be able to communicate effectively and collaborate well within teams.
• Team Management: Experienced in the management of internal and external draughtsman
