Design Quality Engineer

Design Quality Engineer - £30 per hour Inside IR35 - 12 Months (extensions highly likely) - Flintshire - standard 35 hours across 5 days (working between 7-7) - Onsite working - One stage F2F interview - Sector: Aerospace

Yolk Recruitment is actively looking for a skilled Design Engineer to collaborate with an esteemed Aerospace firm, pioneering groundbreaking initiatives in space exploration and travel.

The role involves working within the Quality Engineering aerospace structure team, focusing on Quality Performance within the design activities across various programs. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers globally.

Responsibilities:

• Drive improvement projects to meet Engineering Wing quality targets.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and practical problem-solving activities.
• Establish corrective and preventive action plans to enhance engineering performance.
• Identify risks/issues related to engineering deliverables and drive mitigation plans.
• Support the deployment of Quality standards within the Engineering organization.

Essential:

• Relevant Quality and/or Engineering Experience.
• Understanding of Failure modes effects analysis.
• Proficient in root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 9S, 8D).
• FMEA

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and Product Data Management Systems.
• Understanding of Engineering Drawing and Modification management.
• Experience in Design or Manufacturing Engineering Environment.
• Knowledge of German desirable but not essential
• Aerospace and defence experience
