Belcan is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our client as a Design Quality Engineer. This position sits within the Quality Engineering Airframe Wing department, working closely with Engineering teams and suppliers across Europe, America, and Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Design Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for driving quality performance activities, resolving quality issues, and implementing continuous improvement projects. Reporting to the Head of Quality Engineering Airframe Series Wing, your tasks will include:
- Leading and delivering improvement projects to achieve Engineering Wing quality targets.
- Facilitating root cause analysis and practical problem-solving activities.
- Establishing and driving corrective and preventive action plans to enhance engineering performance.
- Identifying risks/issues related to the quality of engineering deliverables and implementing standardized mitigation plans.
- Supporting the deployment of quality standards within the Engineering organization.
- Capturing lessons learned to improve organizational efficiency and product maturity.
Essential Skills:
- Relevant Quality and Engineering Experience.
- Project Management knowledge.
- Understanding of Failure Modes Effects Analysis.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 9S, 8D).
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and Product Data Management Systems.
- Understanding of Engineering Drawing and Modification management.
- Experience in a Design or Manufacturing Engineering Environment (beneficial but not essential).
- Ability to communicate in German (verbal and written) is highly beneficial.
- Programming experience (Javascript, Google apps script, Python) is highly beneficial.
