We are looking for motivated Multi-Skilled Design/Software Engineers with an Electrical bias Maintenance Engineers to join a well established distribution company. Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description:

• As a Design and Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our projects, ensuring seamless coordination between design, installation, and commissioning. Your responsibilities will include:
• Creating Bill of materials using AutoCAD Electrical libraries and catalogues
• Producing Electrical Schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
• Designing Control Panel and Device Layout
• Collaborating closely with mechanical design engineers to seamlessly integrate design elements
• Developing and modifying PLC and HMI software to maximise performance but keeping it simple where possible (predominantly Allen Bradley with some Siemens and Mitsubishi)
• Adding the Electrical part to operation manuals and producing Sistema documentation
• Conducting thorough workshop testing and onsite commissioning, ensuring our machines run smoothly.
• Providing valuable training to end-users and offering remote support as needed.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools, with a knack for creating precise blocks and adhering to design standards.
• Expertise in PLC control systems, with the ability to develop programs from scratch when needed although we have a large archive for reference.
• An HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications in Controls, Software, or Automation.
