We are looking for a Desktop Software Engineer to join the team at a global company that specialises in land drilling technologies, based in Bristol with a team of around 40 heads.
You will be joining a newly created team working on a new project that aims to bring the drilling tool into the 21st century with new technology, utilising cloud and mobile applications. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining desktop software applications that interact with our drilling tool and other systems, working within an Agile team and collaborating with the hardware and electrical engineers.
The role will be hybrid, meaning you will have the flexibility to work remotely or on site, depending on your preference and project needs. For the first few weeks, you will be required to work on site for a minimum of 3 days per week, to get familiar with the technologies, tools and ways of working, and to collaborate closely with your team members. As you become more comfortable in the role this can reduce to 2 days on site.

What we are looking for:
- Experience in software development using C#, .Net Framework and .Net.
- Experience in WPF application development.
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud technologies is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio 2019 and/or 2022.
- User-level familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office applications.
- Experience with mobile app development, iOS or Android is beneficial.
