Desktop Support Engineer - Inside Ir35 - Immediate Starter Reqd

Rate: GBP140 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30
Location: L24
GTS has an exciting IT Contract for a Desktop Support Engineer in Liverpool. Initial 6 month contract but this may be extended.
This is a site-based contract role and is inside IR35. As a result, this role is suited to umbrella contractors only.
DBS will be required
This role is suitable for candidates able to start immediately
provide technical support to our clients at their office, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, as well as configuring and maintaining IT infrastructure.
support of end-users in the following areas:
* Break/Fix activities
* Installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
* Hardware and software troubleshooting
* IMACD (Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes, Disposals)
* IT Asset Management - Managing local PC and peripheral stock as well as maintaining accurate records of inventory and equipment
* Smarts Hands Service
* Meeting/live-event support requests
* Walk-Up Tech bar support
* Participation in the On-Call Support
Requirements
* Availability for a Full time position and eligibility to work in the UK
* Background check done (DBS)
* Previous experience in user deskside support
* Hands on experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software & operating system issues (including Windows 10, Mac OS, MS Office 365 and associated applications)
* Experience with installation of computer hardware and peripherals
* Basic familiarity with network equipment
* Basic familiarity with meeting room equipment would be a plus
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to lift/move IT equipment weighing up to 20kg
* Fluent in English Language (Excellent written and spoken English skills)
* Following certifications would be a plus: A+ Certification or similar, OEM vendor certification
