Job title: Development EngineerLocation: WolverhamptonRate: £50,000 - £60,000pa + benefits + hybrid workingWe are seeking a Development Engineer with a background in Electronics, you will be a key contributor to the generation of Verification test evidence demonstrating compliance to our customer requirements.In this role you will be responsible for the planning and execution of readiness activities and Qualification testing through strong technical knowledge and excellent organisational skills. Quality of Development deliverables, adherence to procedures and process are key aspects of the role. Developing products into Manufacturing would be ideal.Key Responsibilities: * Awareness and Involvement in all aspects of Development EH&S. * Interpretation of customer requirements into test definitions and formal Qualification Test Procedures. * Generation of test equipment definitions to support Qualification Test activities. * Sourcing and management of external test facilities. * Setting up tests, build of units and mounting units in test rigs. * Able to perform Qualification testing where required monitoring and recording appropriate data throughout. * Able to understand and interpret test data. * Drive good housekeeping standards. * Deliver and present results through clear written and oral communication. * Responsible for the generation and issue of Qualification/Development documentation. * Performing Function/Acceptance tests of Development units. * Coordination of off-site testing including transportation, assembly and commissioning of all necessary support equipment, and performance of function tests during off-site testing.Essential Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications * Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with appropriate experience. * Previous experience in a development role * Operates with the highest level of personal integrity.Desirable Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications * Able to work under own initiative, calm under pressure and responsive to change. * Logical approach to technical problem resolution and decision making. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Computer literate; familiar with general PC software (e.g. Windows, MS Office). * Generation of test execution documentation * Management of qualification testing (onsite & offsite)Benefits includes: -25 days annual leave + bank holidaysPrivate Dental & Healthcare.Employee Assistance ProgrammeAbility to buy and sell holidaysCycle to work schemeEmployee discountsFantastic pension scheme which operates a double match.Please note that potential candidates will be subject to Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and background checks and that project access restrictions may apply to some nationalities.For more information about the role or to enquire about any other positions we may have please contact Peter Davies on (phone number removed) or (phone number removed)
