We are seeking EV Powertrain Development Engineers to support Start of Production Projects, playing a pivotal role in the evolution of electrified vehicles.
This position offers the chance to work closely with industry-leading customers to develop, test, and optimise the performance of Electrified Powertrains for upcoming vehicle programs.
Your responsibilities as an EV Powertrain Development Engineer:
- Lead testing campaigns from defining requirements to data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to outline testing requirements (technical and timing) and supervise the testing facility setup.
- Provide on-site support as needed to ensure successful delivery of testing campaigns.
- Process and analyse data promptly to inform engineering decisions.
- Offer daily updates on project and testing status to all stakeholders, ensuring any issues are formally logged and addressed.
- Guide technical direction to test facilities and other stakeholders and support internal presentations, training, and knowledge exchange.
Your current experience which will help you as an EV Powertrain Development Engineer:
- A Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or a related engineering field.
- Proven experience in Powertrain Development or testing, with specific knowledge of Electric Drive Units and batteries.
- Exceptional analytical skills, capable of making clear technical recommendations supported by data.
- A self-starter attitude; able to operate with high-level instructions and minimal detail, proactively seeking relevant information and support.
- Strong communication skills, able to effectively share technical information with both internal and customer teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability to engage with various commodities, such as battery/charging/inverter systems.
