We are seeking a Development Manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our clients back end development team. The role involves end-to-end delivery of digital change, leading API and database builds to meet business requirements. As the lead, you will recruit, train, and manage the team to ensure they fulfil their roles effectively. This is the ideal stepping stone for someone looking to move into management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop in-house solutions using PHP, MySQL, and relevant tooling
- Ensure the robustness and security of digital/application development platforms
- Review/test code for vulnerabilities and compliance with regulations and team policies
- Deploy new branded instances of digital/application assets
- Participate in defining new digital assets/application designs and estimate required resources
- Collaborate with other leads (Front End/QA) to ensure a smooth delivery process
- Deliver functioning solutions via an agile planning and iterative approach
- Stay current on industry developments and innovations through networking and conferences
- Foster continuous professional development within the team
- Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach and provide open and honest feedback
- Present a professional image of the department, team, and company in internal and external interactions
- Ensure confidentiality and assist in the analysis, development, and support of various systems and services
