Job description

CONTRACT Permanent, full-time (35 hours, Monday to Friday) INTERVIEW Week commencing on 17 June 2024 We have a rare and exciting opportunity to join the team in our Alumni and Development Office. The vacancy is for an experienced Development Officer who will work with the Development Director to shape a mass-fundraising strategy as well as creating and managing a mid-level portfolio, raising gifts of £1,000-£10,000. We are looking for someone who is able to work to deadlines and manage projects, with excellent interpersonal skills who can build relationships with donors. Experience in working within alumni relations & development or fundraising, and fundraising database are essential criteria. If you are able to demonstrate excellent organisational and time-management skills, and an ability to communicate well with a wide range of people by email, phone and in person, we want to hear from you! Duties This is a varied post with duties to include: Working with the Development Director and Database Manager to develop and implement an on-going strategy for the Regular Giving Programme and mass fundraising Project managing and delivering all aspects of mass fundraising appeals such as telethons and giving days Manage a mid-level portfolio of several hundred significant regular donors Undertake face-to-face fundraising for mid-level asks (gifts of £1,000 - £9,999 per year) Further details about this position can be found in the Job Description.
