First Light is a charity supporting people in Cornwall, Devon and Wiltshire who have been affected by domestic abuse and Sexual Violence. We are independent of statutory agencies, including the Police, and every year we help thousands of adults and children in the South West to lead safer lives, free from violence and abuse.
Salary : £24,467 per annum rising to £24,853 per annum on successful completion of probation and £25,955 per annum after accreditation.
Hours : 37.5 hours per week
Holiday : 25 days annual holiday entitlement increasing to 30 days after 5 years’ service per annum plus bank holiday.
Area : North Devon. Barnstaple and surrounding area
Contract : Fixed term until 31st March 2025
Adult Independent Sexual Violence Adviser to cover a specific post-coded area and carry a client caseload of victims involved in a criminal Justice Process. Role will be part of the Devon and Cornwall ISVA service which is operated by First Light a Charity working with victims for both sexual and domestic violence across the whole region.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing a complex caseload

Essential requirements:
- Full Driving Licence
- Experience of working with DA/SV and or vulnerable people
- Experience of Crisis Management
- Highly developed interpersonal skills (written and oral)
