Senior DevOps Engineer – Hybrid, Preston, UK - £90,000
Uneek has partnered with a leading SaaS company in the EnergyTech sector, one of our long-standing clients, who is actively seeking a Senior DevOps professional to join their team, with the flexibility of a hybrid/remote work arrangement and a competitive salary of up to £90,000.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead projects involving the migration of systems to AWS cloud environments. In addition to overseeing hybrid environments, you will also play a pivotal role in team leadership, leading a group of talented DevOps Engineers. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring the reliability, high availability, and security of cloud platforms through innovative solutions, technical expertise in Kubernetes clusters, and a strong emphasis on automation and documentation.
Our customer is building out a DevOps team in the UK and this position has the opportunity to push your career forward into a managerial/Head of position that will oversee the DevOps function globally.
Key Features of the role:
• Up to £90,000 plus healthy benefits package
• Hybrid/Remote role (based near Preston)

Experience:
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform and CloudFormation code.
• AWS Cloud Platforms: Strong experience, ideally with migration to AWS.
• Scripting: Linux Bash or Shell.
• Programming Languages: Experience in Python or Go Lang.
• AWS Services: Significant hands-on experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, Networks, serverless, Lambda, DynamoDB, Athena, CloudWatch.
• CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD platforms and creating CI/CD pipelines. Such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitOps
• Containerization and Microservice Architecture: Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Strong knowledge of microservice architecture design, including EKS or GKE
